Hi there! I’m Beth, the Owner of Comfy Couch Assisted Living. Thank you for taking the time to check out our home and our Comfy Couch Family. I’d like to tell you a little about myself because while we have our wonderful staff working during the day (and awake staff at night), you’re likely to find me at the property most days of the week. I love to be there.
I am a certified caregiver and a licensed manager, but my “place” in our home is to make sure that all the little checks and balances are happening so that our families and residents have everything they need.
Another really important job I have is making sure we have a happy staff. When they are happy, they perform better! Our team has years of experience and endless compassion.
My goal isn’t to just have a great home that’s beautiful. I truly want our residents to feel like they are our family and this is their home. And just as important, I want our resident’s families to feel confident in the care that their loved ones are receiving from us.
I believe that God has us on the path we are supposed to be on, and I know this is where I am supposed to be. It’s a blessing to have a job where I help people every day. And on that note…I don’t think it’s a coincidence that you found us. That doesn’t necessarily mean we will definitely be the perfect fit for you or your loved one, but my best advice is, come and meet us and see for yourself.

Shanon comes to Comfy Couch with 18 years of experience working in the health services and behavioral health fields. His lengthy accolades include being a Certified Assisted Living Manager, an Executive Director for an Assisted Living/Memory Care community in Scottsdale, he is a certified CPR/First Aid instructor and he also works as a Certified Caregiver Instructor at one of the top medical training schools in our state, Arizona Medical Training Institute (AMTI).
As you can imagine, not only are we are thrilled to have Shanon on board to do the training with our staff, but he also teaches the medication and diabetic management training at AMTI, so rest assured, our meds and records for your loved ones are in highly capable hands!
Shanon has a wonderful level of diversity in his background. He’s worked with our older population in larger assisted living facilities and skilled nursing facilities, with kids at an at-risk youth center (where they focused on cognitive behavioral therapy), and even with inmates when he worked as a counselor/caseworker for AZ Department of Corrections! It’s truly a great pool of experience to pull from when he’s working with our residents and our staff!
Having such vast experience in different settings, coupled with Shanon’s ability to relate and engage with people of all backgrounds makes him an incredible asset for our home. Plus, he’s just a downright nice guy–and we really like that about him.
We are blessed Shanon is with us and we look forward to a wonderful future with him as our Comfy Couch Manager/Nurse.
